Pre‐Curved Everting Robots With Embedded Steering Intelligence Fabricated by CO2 Laser Welding
Design and experimental demonstration of a laser welded growing robot for anatomically guided navigation. The robot follows an aortic arch phantom entering the branchiocephalic branch through steering by design. The figure shows the physical phantom setup, CAD defined weld geometry and full robot eversion.

Certain Relations of Gegenbauer and Modified Gegenbauer Matrix Polynomials by Lie Algebraic Method
The object of the present paper is to derive the generating formulae for the Gegenbauer and modified Gegenbauer matrix polynomials by introducing a partial differential operatorand constructing the Lie algebra representation formalism of special linear ...

State elimination in polynomial models: A linear algebraic approach
We derive a method to obtain the difference equation for discrete-time, autonomous, time-invariant, single-output polynomial state-space models, by proposing a linear algebraic framework for state elimination based on the novel “model matrix”. For strongly locally observable models we show that the left null space of the model matrix is spanned by the ...

Programmable Flocks: Hierarchical Swarm Control via Dynamic Parameter Injection
We present a method for the control of robot swarms which allows the shaping and the translation of patterns of simple robots (“smart particles”), using two types of devices. These two types represent a hierarchy: a larger group of simple, oblivious robots (which we call the workers) that is governed by simple local attraction forces and a smaller ...

On structural controllability in complex networks with periodic switching topologies
Abstract This paper investigates the structural controllability of complex networks with periodic switching topologies. First, several graph transformations that preserve structural controllability are demonstrated. Based on the n‐walk theory, a criterion is derived that determines structural controllability by analyzing only the joint graph within a ...

Polynomial Systems Solving by Fast Linear Algebra
Polynomial system solving is a classical problem in mathematics with a wide range of applications. This makes its complexity a fundamental problem in computer science. Depending on the context, solving has different meanings. In order to stick to the most general case, we consider a representation of the solutions from which one can easily recover the ...

Controllability and Observability Conditions for Impulsive DAEs on Time Scales
ABSTRACT This paper establishes criteria for controllability and observability in a class of linear time‐invariant impulsive differential‐algebraic equations (DAEs) defined on a time scale. Controllability is defined as the ability to transfer the system state from any initial condition to any desired state within a finite time interval using an ...

Asymptotic properties of cross‐classified sampling designs
Abstract We investigate the family of cross‐classified sampling designs across an arbitrary number of dimensions. We introduce a variance decomposition that enables the derivation of general asymptotic properties for these designs and the development of straightforward and asymptotically unbiased variance estimators.

Simplified Small‐Signal Modeling Method for Non‐Isolated High Step‐Up Converters
A generalized small‐signal modeling methodology for a family of non‐isolated high step‐up DC‐DC converters is proposed. ABSTRACT This work presents a generalized small‐signal modeling methodology for a family of DC–DC converters based on the four‐state switching cell with a wide conversion range (WCR‐4SSC) operating in continuous conduction mode (CCM).

The triad refers to embedding the Macdonald polynomials into the Noumi-Shiraishi functions and their reduction to solutions of simple linear equations at particular values of t. It provides an alternative definition of Macdonald theory.
