CONTROL BASED ON NUMERICAL METHODS AND RECURSIVE BAYESIAN ESTIMATION IN A CONTINUOUS ALCOHOLIC FERMENTATION PROCESS [PDF]
Biotechnological processes represent a challenge in the control field, due to their high nonlinearity. In particular, continuous alcoholic fermentation from Zymomonas mobilis (Z.m) presents a significant challenge.

The rotation of a vector around the origin and in a plane constitutes a minimal rotation. Such a rotation is of vital importance in many applications. Examples are the re-orientation of spacecraft or antennas with minimal effort, the smooth interpolation

This thesis collects, in a unified framework, two cores, reflecting the dual nature of my research activity. During my Ph.D., I had the chance to explore different branches of knowledge in Computer Science, and this thesis focuses on the two disciplines where my work was more fertile, that are respectively Boolean Network Tomography and Numerical ...

Can Computer Algebra be Liberated from its Algebraic Yoke ?
So far, the scope of computer algebra has been needlessly restricted to exact algebraic methods. Its possible extension to approximate analytical methods is discussed.

This paper is devoted to a high-order Legendre collocation approximation for solving fractional-order linear semi-explicit differential algebraic equations numerically. We discuss existence, uniqueness, and regularity results and conclude that the solutions typically suffer from a singularity at the origin.
