Source algebra equivalences for blocks¶of finite general linear groups over a fixed field

open access: closedmanuscripta mathematica, 2001
Let \(q\) be a prime power, let \(p\) be a prime not dividing \(q\), and let \(D\) be a finite \(p\)-group. The author shows that the source algebras of unipotent \(p\)-blocks of \(\text{GL}(n,q)\) with defect group \(D\), as \(n\) varies, fall into finitely many isomorphism classes.

One-dimensional subgroups and connected components in non-abelian p-adic definable groups

Journal of Symbolic Logic (JSL), 2023
We generalize two of our previous results on abelian definable groups in $p$-adically closed fields to the non-abelian case. First, we show that if $G$ is a definable group that is not definably compact, then $G$ has a one-dimensional definable subgroup ...

Conditional reconstruction of affine open subschemes of elliptic curves in positive characteristic by their geometric fundamental groups

International Journal of Number Theory, 2022
The goal of this paper is to reconstruct the isomorphism class of a nonempty affine open subscheme of an elliptic curve over an algebraic closure of a finite field by its étale fundamental group under some assumptions.
