Algorithm for the determination of a linear crack in an elastic body from boundary measurements

Inverse Problems, 2010
In this paper we consider the inverse problem of identifying a linear inclusion inside an elastic body from exterior boundary measurements. Based on the asymptotic formula by Beretta and Francini (2006 SIAM J. Math. Anal. 38 1249–61), we design an effective reconstruction algorithm to find the endpoints and the thickness of a linear inclusion ...

Identifying a Spatial Body Force in Linear Elastodynamics via Traction Measurements

SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 1998
Summary: An elastic and compressible material occupies a bounded domain \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^n\), \(n\geq 2\), for any time \(t\in [0,T]\), \(T>0\) being given. This material is subject to a body force \({\mathbf F}: [0,T]\times \Omega\to \mathbb{R}^n\) of the form \({\mathbf F}(t,x)= \varphi(t){\mathbf f}(x)\), where \({\mathbf f}:\Omega\to ...

Determination of a Linear Crack in an Elastic Body from Boundary Measurements—Lipschitz Stability

SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, 2008
We discuss the stability issue for the problem of determining a thin inclusion in a homogeneous isotropic elastic body from boundary measurements. This problem is severely ill-posed, but in this paper we prove that by restricting ourselves to the class of thin neighborhoods of line segments, a Lipschitz stability estimate holds.

Correlation Between Body Weight and Linear Body Measurements in Adult Female Sahiwal Cattle

THE INDIAN JOURNAL OF VETERINARY SCIENCES AND BIOTECHNOLOGY, 2017
The present investigation was conducted in the herd of pure bred Sahiwal cows maintained at Bull Mother Experimental Farm (BMEF) and Government Cattle Breeding Farm (CBF), Anjora, Durg (Chhattisgarh). A total of 193 adult female Sahiwal cattle over three years of age were used in the experiment. The animals were grouped into seven age groups, i.e. 3-4,

Prediction of Body Weight from Linear Body Measurements in Nili-Ravi Buffalo Calves

2012
