Linearization of Isochronous Centers

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1995
The authors propose a unified technique for the study of the isochronicity of polynomial systems. They first construct the linearizing changes of coordinates for isochronous systems having rational first integrals, namely for quadratic systems, for cubic systems symmetric with respect to a center and for reduced Kukles systems.

An Equity-Based Optimization Model to Solve the Location Problem for Healthcare Centers Applied to Hospital Beds and COVID-19 Vaccination

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
Governments must consider different issues when deciding on the location of healthcare centers. In addition to the costs of opening such centers, three further elements should be addressed: accessibility, demand, and equity. Such locations must be chosen

Optimization of a k-covering of a bounded set with circles of two given radii

open access: yesOpen Computer Science, 2021
A numerical method for investigating k-coverings of a convex bounded set with circles of two given radii is proposed. Cases with constraints on the distances between the covering circle centers are considered.

Research on image enhancement of light stripe based on template matching

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Image and Video Processing, 2018
The detection accuracy of the light stripe centers is an important factor based on the structured light vision measurement, and the quality of the light stripe images is a prerequisite for accurately detecting the light stripe centers; this paper ...

Predictors of quality of childcare centers in low-income settings: findings from a cross-sectional study in two Nairobi slums

open access: yesFrontiers in Public Health, 2023
BackgroundRapid urbanization and increased women’s involvement in paid work have contributed to the upsurge of informal childcare centers, especially in low-income settings where quality is a major issue.

The Multiple Correspondence Analysis Method and Brain Functional Connectivity: Its Application to the Study of the Non-linear Relationships of Motor Cortex and Basal Ganglia

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2017
The complexity of basal ganglia (BG) interactions is often condensed into simple models mainly based on animal data and that present BG in closed-loop cortico-subcortical circuits of excitatory/inhibitory pathways which analyze the incoming cortical data
