This study explores the feasibility of expressing the antitumoral protein Amblyomin‐X through a suicide gene therapy approach and investigates its intracellular fate after gene delivery. Although the gene is efficiently expressed, melanoma cells rapidly degrade the Amblyomin‐X protein via proteasome activity.

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

Ordered algebraic structure in a linear code
In this article, we initiate an exploration of the algebraic structures within coding theory. Specifically, we focus on the potential for an ordered al- gebraic structure, known as a BCI-algebra, within an arbitrary linear code C. We demonstrate that any

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Linear typing for resource-aware programming [PDF]
openSmart contracts running on blockchain platforms are critical components of decentralized applications (dApps). Often, smart contracts manipulate valuable assets, so that the correctness and security of the code is a main concern.

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

This program contains a solution and an estimation method for linear rational expectations models with lagged expectations (e.g., sticky information). The solution method is a synthetic approach, combining state-space and infinite-MA representations with
