Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

H-infinity control of switched linear parabolic systems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2014
The $H_{\infty}$ control problem of a class of switched linear parabolic systems is considered. By applying the multiple Lyapunov function method and the average dwell time scheme, sufficient conditions for exponential stability and the $H_{\infty}$

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Fuzzy BIBO Stability of Linear Control Systems

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Extension, 2014
In this paper, the concept of stability for fuzzy control systems is discussed from a mathematical point of view. Our main objective is to investigate the stability of fuzzy linear systems with bounded input and bounded output.

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

MPC Design for SPS Modulated DAB Converters: Impact of Nonlinear Models on Reactive Power Minimization

open access: yesIET Power Electronics
This paper presents the design and implementation of a model predictive control (MPC) framework for single phase shift (SPS) modulated dual active bridge (DAB) converters, focused on reactive power minimization and precise reference voltage tracking ...
