Identification of linear dynamic systems
A real time computational method is presented for the identification of linear discrete dynamic systems with unknown parameters. It is shown that the method is globally convergent to the true parameters in a stochastic environment. Experimental simulation of 2nd and 4th order systems further affirms the practicality of the method.

On-Line Learning of Linear Dynamical Systems: Exponential Forgetting in Kalman Filters [PDF]
The Kalman filter is a key tool for time-series forecasting and analysis. We show that the dependence of a prediction of Kalman filter on the past is decaying exponentially, whenever the process noise is non-degenerate.
