The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...

This study investigates laser shock peening for enhancing fatigue performance of riveted aerospace aluminum joints. A comparative approach with cold expansion combines fatigue testing and synchrotron X‐ray methods. Integrating mechanical testing with residual stress and strain characterization provides insights into how different treatments affect the ...

Gradient-enriched linear-elastic tip stresses to perform the highcycle fatigue assessment of notched plain concrete [PDF]
Gradient Elasticity (GE) allows the stress analysis to be performed by taking into account the size of the dominant source of microstructural heterogeneity via a suitable length scale parameter.

Direct Kinetostatic Analysis of a Gripper with Curved Flexures
Micro-electro-mechanical-systems (MEMS) extensively employed planar mechanisms with elastic curved beams. However, using a curved circular beam as a flexure hinge, in most cases, needs a more sophisticated kinetostatic model than the conventional planar ...

Finite Element Analysis Using a Cosserat Linear Elastic Continuum
Contexto: Los resultados experimentales en materiales granulares muestran que el comportamiento esfuerzo deformación tiene dependencia con la escala de análisis, sin embargo, debido a las supocisiones intrínsecas que tiene la mecánica del medio continuo,

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting
