Fracture Mechanical Analysis of Thin-Walled Cylindrical Shells with Cracks
The fracture mechanical behaviour of thin-walled structures with cracks is highly significant for structural strength design, safety and reliability analysis, and defect evaluation. In this study, the effects of various factors on the fracture parameters,

A new chart of hydraulic fracture height prediction based on fluid–solid coupling equations and rock fracture mechanics [PDF]
The conventional method to predict hydraulic fracture height depends on linear elastic mechanics, and the typical Gulrajani–Nolte chart fails to reflect fracture height when the net pressure in the fracture is too high.

A novel rate-dependent cohesive-zone model combining damage and visco-elasticity [PDF]
This is the author’s post-print version of a work that was accepted for publication in Computers & Structures. Changes resulting from the publishing process, such as peer review, editing, corrections, structural formatting, and other quality control ...

Rheocasting versus Die Casting: An Insight into the Low‐Cycle Fatigue Behavior of AlSi7Mg0.6
The study compares rheocast lightweight components with high‐pressure die cast materials regarding microstructure and fatigue behavior. Rheocast process offers higher efficiency due to lower casting temperatures. Despite some microstructural differences, both processes show similar strengths (yield strength 125 MPa, tensile strength 240 MPa).
