Synchrotron Radiation for Quantum Technology
Materials and interfaces underpin quantum technologies, with synchrotron and FEL methods key to understanding and optimizing them. Advances span superconducting and semiconducting qubits, 2D materials, and topological systems, where strain, defects, and interfaces govern performance.

A nonlinear hydraulic fracture propagation criterion considering the fracture process zone
The linear elastic hydraulic fracture criterion is not applicable to deep reservoirs when nonlinear behavior is present over an extensive zone at the fracture tip.

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Atomic Size Misfit for Electrocatalytic Small Molecule Activation
This review explores the application and mechanisms of atomic size misfit in catalysis for small molecule activation, focusing on how structural defects and electronic properties can effectively lower the energy barriers of chemical bonds in molecules like H2O, CO2, and N2.

Autonomy and Singularity in Dynamic Fracture
The recently developed weakly nonlinear theory of dynamic fracture predicts $1/r$ corrections to the standard asymptotic linear elastic $1/\sqrt{r}$ displacement-gradients, where $r$ is measured from the tip of a tensile crack.

This study introduces a novel multi‐scale scaffold design using L‐fractals arranged in Archimedean tessellations for tissue regeneration. Despite similar porosity, tiles display vastly different tensile responses (1–100 MPa) and deformation modes. In vitro experiments with hMSCs show geometry‐dependent growth and activity. Over 55 000 tile combinations
