Analysis of Positive Linear Continuous–Time Systems Using the Conformable Derivative

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2018
Positive linear continuous-time systems are analyzed via conformable fractional calculus. A solution to a fractional linear system is derived. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the positivity of linear systems are established.

Stability Results for Two-Dimensional Systems of Fractional-Order Difference Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
Linear autonomous incommensurate systems that consist of two fractional-order difference equations of Caputo-type are studied in terms of their asymptotic stability and instability properties.

Backward Continuation of the Solutions of the Cauchy Problem for Linear Fractional System with Deviating Argument

open access: yesMathematics
Fractional calculus provides tools to model systems with memory effects; when coupled with delays, they model process histories inspired by two independent sources—the memory of the fractional derivative and the impact conditioned by the delays.

Modeling of Macroeconomics by a Novel Discrete Nonlinear Fractional Dynamical System

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2013
We propose a new nonlinear economic system with fractional derivative. According to the Jumarie’s definition of fractional derivative, we obtain a discrete fractional nonlinear economic system.

Fractional order continuity of a time semi-linear fractional diffusion-wave system

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2020
In this work, we consider the time-fractional diffusion equations depend on fractional orders. In more detail, we study on the initial value problems for the time semi-linear fractional diffusion-wave system and discussion about continuity with respect ...

Chebyshev Collocation Method for the Fractional Fredholm Integro-Differential Equations

open access: yesJournal of New Theory, 2023
In this study, Chebyshev polynomials have been applied to construct an approximation method to attain the solutions of the linear fractional Fredholm integro-differential equations (IDEs).

Descriptor fractional linear systems with regular pencils [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2012
Methods for finding solutions of the state equations of descriptor fractional discrete-time and continuous-time linear systems with regular pencils are proposed. The derivation of the solution formulas is based on the application of the Z transform, the Laplace transform and the convolution theorems.

Solution of Linear Fractional Order Systems with Variable Coefficients [PDF]

open access: yesFractional Calculus and Applied Analysis, 2020
The paper deals with the initial value problem for linear systems of FDEs with variable coefficients involving Riemann--Liouville and Caputo derivatives. The technique of the generalized Peano--Baker series is used to obtain the state-transition matrix. Explicit solutions are derived both in the homogeneous and inhomogeneous case.

Lagrange Adjoint System for Linear Fractional Systems with Distributed Delays

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In the present work we introduce an appropriate definition of the notion of a Lagrange (formal) adjoint system for homogeneous systems with incommensurate-order derivatives in Caputo’s sense and distributed delays. Under natural conditions, the existence
