Secure and Server-User Private Linear Function Retrieval in Multi-Server Multi-User Systems

ICC 2021 - IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2021
This paper investigates the ultimate performance limits of distributed multi-server systems with cache-aided users, where the users aim to retrieve a linear function of the files of a library that are replicated at multiple non-colluding servers. In addition to correct decoding, the following conditions are imposed: (a) the content of the library must ...

Retrieval of Linear Optical Functions from Finite Range Spectra

Applied Spectroscopy, 2007
There are many experimental situations in which infrared reflectivity spectra can be acquired only over a limited spectral range. It is therefore necessary to find computing procedures that allow the efficient analysis of such data. In this paper, we propose a new procedure labeled constrained finite range correction (CFRC) that can be advantageously ...

Linear Models of Cumulative Distribution Function for Content-based Medical Image Retrieval

Journal of Medical Systems, 2007
We propose an Image matching technique based on Cumulative Distribution Function, which provides a considerable reduction in the retrieval time. The two novel approaches called bit plane histogram and hierarchical bit plane histogram are discussed.

Linear Models of Cumulative Distribution Function for Content based Medical Image Retrieval

2005 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology 27th Annual Conference, 2005
We propose an Image matching method based n Cumulative Distribution Function (CDF). The CDF f the query and database Images are approximated by piecewise linear models with two parameters, slope and intercept at various grayscale intervals. The equations solving the least squares line fitting algorithm are very simple to form, due to closed form ...

Phase retrieval using coherent imaging systems with linear transfer functions

Optics Communications, 2004
We consider the problem of quantitative phase retrieval from images obtained using a coherent shift-invariant linear imaging system whose associated transfer function (i.e., the Fourier transform of the complex point-spread function) is well approximated by a linear function of spatial frequency.

A geophysical model function for windsat polarimetric radiometer wind retrievals using linear polarizations

2007 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2007
In this paper, we develop a novel geophysical model function (GMF) for the WindSat radiometer relating the vertically (V-pol) and horizontally (H-pol) polarized brightness temperature (TB) to the ocean surface wind field. The brightness temperature data from the 10,18 and 37 GHz channels were used in this analysis.

Efficient retrieval of the thermo‐acoustic flame transfer function from a linearized CFD simulation of a turbulent flame

International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, 2007
AbstractThe stability of thermo‐acoustic pressure oscillations in a lean premixed methane‐fired generic gas turbine combustor is investigated. A key element in predicting the acoustically unstable operating conditions of the combustor is the flame transfer function.

The Application of Non-linear Regression Method to the Functional Connectivity during the Encoding and the Retrieval of Chinese Semantic Memory

2009 Fifth International Conference on Natural Computation, 2009
Here, the tests about the study of Chinese semantic are presented. The experiments are performed on 9 healthy university students by using the scalp EEG and by using the pictures of Chinese words and idioms as stimuli. The mapping of the power density spectrums are adopted to detect the cognition-related region in the working memory including the ...

Non-linear dynamic model retrieval of subtropical high based on empirical orthogonal function and genetic algorithm

Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, 2006
Aiming at the difficulty of accurately constructing the dynamic model of subtropical high, based on the potential height field time series over 500 hPa layer of T106 numerical forecast products, by using EOF (empirical orthogonal function) temporal-spatial separation technique, the disassembled EOF time coefficients series were regarded as dynamical ...
