BACH ARRAY LINEAR GENERATOR FOR WAVE ENERGY CONVERTERS [PDF]
linear generators have been proposed as a proper power takeoff system for direct-drive wave energy conversion. Coupled directly to a reciprocating wave energy device, it was declared that linear generators could be a valuable replacement for hydraulic ...

Fuzzy Normed Linear Spaces Generated by Linear Functionals
For a nonzero normed linear space X, we will define some different classes of fuzzy norms on X generated by linear and bounded linear functionals. Also separate continuity of the elements of each class are investigated. The aim of this research is to introduce a source of examples and counterexamples in the field of fuzzy normed spaces.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Linear Generator for a Free Piston Stirling Engine [PDF]
In this paper we present some aspects about the design of a Stirling engine driven linear generator. There are summarised the main steps of the magnetic and electric calculations with application to a particular case of a cogeneration plant bassed on ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Generalized Column Generation for Linear Programming [PDF]
Column generation is a well-known and widely practiced technique for solving linear programs with too many variables or constraints to include in the initial formulation explicitly. Instead, the required column information is generated at each iteration of the simplex algorithm.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

A Free-Piston Linear Generator Control Strategy for Improving Output Power
This paper presents a control strategy to improve the output power for a single-cylinder two-stroke free-piston linear generator (FPLG). The comprehensive simulation model of this FPLG is established and the operation principle is introduced. The factors

Sparsifying Generalized Linear Models
We consider the sparsification of sums $F : \mathbb{R}^n \to \mathbb{R}$ where $F(x) = f_1(\langle a_1,x\rangle) + \cdots + f_m(\langle a_m,x\rangle)$ for vectors $a_1,\ldots,a_m \in \mathbb{R}^n$ and functions $f_1,\ldots,f_m : \mathbb{R} \to \mathbb{R}_+$.

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only
