High Relative Accuracy Computations With Covariance Matrices of Order Statistics

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In many statistical applications, numerical computations with covariance matrices need to be performed. The error made when performing such numerical computations increases with the condition number of the covariance matrix, which is related to the number of variables and the strength of the correlation between the variables. In a recent work,

LowCOST‐HSQC Variants for Fast‐Pulsing High ω1$$ {\omega}_1 $$‐Resolved 2D Experiments

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Chemistry, EarlyView.
The LowCOST‐HSQC is a sensitivity‐enhanced HSQC version that retains unused proton polarization for subsequent scans in correlations to low natural abundance nuclei like 13$$ {}^{13} $$C or 15$$ {}^{15} $$N. Together with fast polarization distribution via isotropic mixing, it allows the acquisition of fast‐pulsing 2D experiments.

Ordered Median Traveling Salesman Problem

open access: yesNetworks, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper introduces a novel combinatorial optimization problem with ordering constraints, termed the Ordered Median Traveling Salesman Problem (OMTSP). The OMTSP integrates key elements from both the classic Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) and the Ordered Median Location Problem.

Administrative Traditions of the Majority World: A Commentary and Future Research Agenda

open access: yesPublic Administration and Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Decolonising public administration is an urgent and necessary endeavour. In this short article we argue that we cannot, however, settle for shallow decolonialisations. We argue that the specific iterations of bureaucracy evidenced in post‐colonial states across the majority world can be conceptualised through the lens of administrative ...

An all‐polymer blend for photovoltaic applications: A combined photoabsorption, photoemission and ab initio multi‐configurational study

open access: yesPolymer International, EarlyView.
Near‐edge X‐ray absorption fine structure, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and multi‐configuration self‐consistent field results show, respectively, preferential edge‐on and face‐on orientations for the thiophene and naphthalene diimide units of the PBDB‐T‐SF:P(NDI2OD‐T2) all‐polymer blend, and surface accumulation of the acceptor.
