Dynamic Precipitation during High‐Pressure Torsion of a Magnesium–Manganese Alloy
An ultrafine‐grained alloy is produced by high‐pressure torsion of solutionized Mg–1.35 wt% Mn. Precipitation of nanometer‐scale Mn particles during deformation provides pinning sites. This prevents the formation of a bimodal grain structure and results in a finer grain size than for pure Mg.

Thermal conductivity at variable in time relative to the heat transfer coefficient
The practically important problem of unsteady heat conduction with time-varying relative coefficient of heat transfer is considered. Systematization of different approaches for finding the analytical solution of the problem is shown: the method of ...

Heat Transfer in Porous Media: Second-Order Closure and Nonlinear Source Terms [PDF]
Heat transfer in multiscale materials is ubiquitous in natural and engineered systems. These materials are often modeled at a macroscopic scale, where microscopic details are filtered out to reduce numerical and physical complexity.

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Spectral Attenuation of Sound in Dilute Suspensions with Nonlinear Particle Relaxation [PDF]
Theoretical studies on the dissipation and dispersion of sound in two-phase suspensions have been briefly reviewed. Previous studies on the sound attenuation in particle-laden flows under Stokesian drag and conduction-controlled heat transfer have been ...

Effects of Carbon Nanoparticles on Triboelectro‐Induced Surface Defects
Carbon nanoparticles added to grease modify the electrocontact behavior. The synergy of particle concentration and electric current dominates the surface damage of metals in contact. Electrical surface damage caused by current leakage is a critical challenge in high‐performance applications such as electric vehicle (EV) drivetrains and wind turbine ...
