Linear Homeomorphic Models for Muscles in the Head–Neck Region
Annals of Biomedical Engineering, 2009The linear homeomorphic muscle model proposed by Enderle and coworkers for the rectus eye muscle is fitted to reflect the dynamics of muscles in the head-neck complex, specifically in muscles involved in gaze shifts. This parameterization of the model for different muscles in the neck region will serve to drive a 3D dynamic computer model for the ...

The author studies the discrete Godbillon-Vey class \(GV({\mathcal F}) \in H^ 3(M;\mathbb{R})\), where \({\mathcal F}\) is a transversely piecewise linear foliation of codimension one on a \(3k\)-manifold. This invariant was introduced by \textit{E. Ghys} and \textit{V. Sergiescu} [Comment. Math. Helv. 62, 185-239 (1987; Zbl 0647.58009)].

Mather invariants in groups of piecewise-linear homeomorphisms
2008We describe the relation between two characterizations of conjugacy in groups of piecewise-linear homeomorphisms, discovered by Brin and Squier in [2] and Kassabov and Matucci in [5]. Thanks to the interplay between the techniques, we produce a simplified point of view of conjugacy that allows ua to easily recover centralizers and lends itself to ...
