Linear Inequalities for Density Matrices
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1969A set of linear inequalities for the reduced two-body density matrix is presented. The general problem of finding all such inequalities is discussed. It is shown that all of the linear inequalities found so far for ensemble representability may be written as a single family of inequalities.

Linear inequalities for density matrices: IV Factorizations
Computational and Theoretical Chemistry, 2013Abstract Diagonal linear inequalities for variable- N ensembles were reported by McRae in his thesis involving up to seven orbitals simultaneously. Many of these were reported in a simple factored form. Starting with inequalities involving six orbitals there were several which could not be factored.

Linear Inequalities for Density Matrices. II
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1972A general method is described for finding linear inequalities relating physical properties of an ensemble which can exist only in a finite number of states. This algorithm is used to solve a few examples of the fixed-N and variable-N Slater hull problem and the fixed-N Boson hull problem.

Summary: Correction problems for inconsistent systems of linear inequalities with partitioned matrices are examined. The criteria used are based on the minimum of the sum of squares and the minimax weighted Euclidean norm of a block in the correction matrix.
