Kantorovich Type Integral Inequalities for Tensor Product of Continuous Fields of Hilbert Space Operators [PDF]
This paper presents a number of Kantorovich type integral inequalities involving tensor products of continuous fields of bounded linear operators on a Hilbert space. Kantorovich type inequality in which the product is replaced by an operator mean is also considered. Such inequalities include discrete inequalities as special cases.

The relationship between financial development and income inequality is one of the topics that has been the focus of researchers and economic policymakers since the 1990s; hence extensive empirical studies attempt to determine the type of effect of ...

Matrix versions of some classical inequalities [PDF]
Some natural inequalities related to rearrangement in matrix products can also be regarded as extensions of classical inequalities for sequences or integrals. In particular, we show matrix versions of Chebyshev and Kantorovich type inequalities. The matrix approach may also provide simplified proofs and new results for classical inequalities.

Gaussian processes with linear operator inequality constraints
This paper presents an approach for constrained Gaussian Process (GP) regression where we assume that a set of linear transformations of the process are bounded.

Harnack inequality and no-arbitrage bounds for self-financing portfolios [PDF]
We give a direct proof of the Harnack inequality for a class of Kolmogorov operators associated with a linear SDE and we find the explicit expression of the optimal Harnack constant.

Combined Enhanced LMI Charactrization and Parametric Eigenstructure Assignment Using Static Output Feedback [PDF]
This paper proposes mixed eigenstructure assignment with H∞ constraint when the states are not measurable. In this case, full state feedback is not permissible. So eigenstructure assignment by output feedback is considered.

On an apparently bilinear inequality for the Fourier transform [PDF]
A bilinear inequality of Geba, Greenleaf, Iosevich, Palsson, and Sawyer for the Fourier transform is shown to be equivalent to a simpler linear inequality, and the range of exponents is extended. Related mixed-norm inequalities are discussed.

A Linear Generalization of Gronwall's Inequality [PDF]
where k(t, s) and w0(t) are known non-negative functions and u(t) is an unknown non-negative function. For examples, one can refer to Bellman [l, pp. 35 ff.], Coddington and Levinson [2, pp. 37 ff.], Willett [3], and others. In order to obtain from (1.1) a genuine upper bound for u(t), i.e., an upper bound independent of u, it seems necessary to ...

An inequality for continuous linear functionals
AbstractLet n>1 be an integer, f∈Cn[a,b], and A:C[a,b]→R a continuous linear functional which annihilates all polynomials of degree at most n−1. We give sharp inequalities of the form |A(f)|≤Mk‖f(k)‖2, k=2,…,n.

Bayesian inference for linear models subject to linear inequality constraints
The normal linear model, with sign or other linear inequality constraints on its coefficients, arises very commonly in many scientific applications. Given inequality constraints Bayesian inference is much simpler than classical inference, but standard ...
