Interpolation of Linear Operators
Journal of Soviet Mathematics, 1988Summary: This survey is devoted to the contemporary state of the theory of interpolation of linear operators acting in Banach spaces. The main attention is paid to real and complex methods, and applications of the theory of interpolation to analysis.

Incremental linear interpolation
ACM Transactions on Graphics, 1985Two incremental linear interpolation algorithms are derived and analyzed for speed and accuracy. The first is a version of a “simple” digital differential analyzer (DDA) employing fixed-point arithmetic, whereas the second is a new algorithm that uses only integral arithmetic and is a generalization of Bresenham's line-drawing algorithm.

The analysis and synthesis filters of linear prediction theory are extended to include linear interpolation. A noncausal lattice filter for linear interpolation is obtained from the linear interpolation recursion. The results provide insight into the interrelation of prediction and interpolation and of one- and two-sided representations of one ...

On inverse linear interpolation
Scandinavian Actuarial Journal, 1950Abstract Let us write the equation to be solved in the form Denoting by xi + 1 the value of ƒ(x) for x = xi , we get and starting with an approximative value x o of the root, we calculate in succession x 1, x 2, x 3, ….

Linear Interpolation Functions [PDF]
Methods for obtaining the weighting function, w and the approximation function, ũ used in Chap. 2 are outlined in this chapter. The finite element method will not be amenable to solution without this most important step. If this step is well-understood, the other steps in the finite element equation derivation become easy.

Linear Interpolation on a Tetrahedron
Proceedings of the Steklov Institute of Mathematics, 2020The standard method for the linear interpolation on a tetrahedron of a function with continuous second-order partial derivatives bounded by a given constant is considered. Estimates of the approximation of first-order derivatives that are more exact than the known estimates are derived.

A new non-linear view interpolation algorithm is presented in this paper. Unlike the linear interpolation scheme, our method can exactly simulate the perspective viewing transformation during walkthrough. To accelerate the view interpolation, the algorithm employs a binary subdivision scheme to optimize the decomposition of the source image so that the

Linear interpolation of histograms
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1999Abstract A prescription is defined for the interpolation of probability distributions that are assumed to have a linear dependence on a parameter of the distributions. The distributions may be in the form of continuous functions or histograms. The prescription is based on the weighted mean of the inverses of the cumulative distributions between which
