A new non-linear view interpolation algorithm is presented in this paper. Unlike the linear interpolation scheme, our method can exactly simulate the perspective viewing transformation during walkthrough. To accelerate the view interpolation, the algorithm employs a binary subdivision scheme to optimize the decomposition of the source image so that the

Linear interpolation is the computationally simplest of all possible interpolation techniques. Interestingly, it works reasonably well in many practical situations, even in situations when the corresponding computational models are rather complex.

The analysis and synthesis filters of linear prediction theory are extended to include linear interpolation. A noncausal lattice filter for linear interpolation is obtained from the linear interpolation recursion. The results provide insight into the interrelation of prediction and interpolation and of one- and two-sided representations of one ...

Linear Interpolation on a Tetrahedron
Proceedings of the Steklov Institute of Mathematics, 2020In this paper the author studies linear interpolation on a tetraedron of a function with second-order partial derivatives limited. He also studies certain estimates of the first derivatives of the given interpolator function and compares these results with those already known on this subject.

Incremental linear interpolation
ACM Transactions on Graphics, 1985Two incremental linear interpolation algorithms are derived and analyzed for speed and accuracy. The first is a version of a “simple” digital differential analyzer (DDA) employing fixed-point arithmetic, whereas the second is a new algorithm that uses only integral arithmetic and is a generalization of Bresenham's line-drawing algorithm.
