Linear operator inequalities for strongly stable weakly regular linear systems

open access: yesMath. Control. Signals Syst., 2001
Weakly regular linear systems introduced by \textit{M. Weiss} and \textit{G. Weiss} [Math. Control Signals Syst. 10, No. 4, 287--330 (1997; Zbl 0884.49021)] form a large subclass of well-posed (in the sense of \textit{D. Salamon} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc.

Quadratic operator inequalities and linear-fractional relations

Functional Analysis and Its Applications, 2007
Let \(A, B, C\) be bounded Hilbert space operators, and let \(A\) and \(C\) be selfadjoint. Let \(M(A,B,C)\) denote the set of all bounded linear operators \(X\) satisfying the quadratic operator inequality \(X^*AX+B^*X+X^*B+C \leq 0\). Applying the operator \(2\times 2\) matrix \((A;B;B^*;C)\), the authors discuss some set theoretic and topological ...

Operator Inequalities for Positive Linear Maps

2021
The main purpose of this chapter is to select the main results on squaring reverse arithmetic-geometric mean operator inequality and the reverse Ando’s operator inequality. We gathered the most important topics that showed the essential techniques to squaring operator inequalities and their p-power.

Inequalities of Polya type for positive linear operators

Houston journal of mathematics, 1996
A number of inequalities are derived for power means and quasi-arithmetic means of bounded linear positive operators on an infinite dimensional Hilbert space.

Linear inequalities and overlap bounds: a novel use of an operator inequality

Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1976
Bounds to overlap integrals are obtained by an operator inequality technique. The formulation involves a set of linear inequalities with several overlap integrals as unknowns. The 'solution' of this set of inequalities leads to bound expressions which complement those of Weinberger (1960) and of Cohen and Feldmann (1976).
