Abstract An approximate non-linear filter is applied to systems described by coupled ordinary and partial differential equations with both volume and boundary disturbances and measurement errors. Measurements are assumed to be carried out at u discrete number of spatial positions in the distributed portion of the system.

Mean reversion of stock price is an observed phenomenon in finance. It is similar to the concept of Newton`s law of cooling. Three models of ordinary differential equation are derived from the concept and solved by dynamic integration. The models are applied to the daily closing price of Taiwan Stock Exchange Capitalisation Weighted Stock Index ...

Quantization and a Green’s Function for Systems of Linear Ordinary Differential Equations
1976One of the traditional puzzles for students of quantum mechanics is the reconciliation of the quantification principle that wave functions must be square integrable with the reality that continuum wave functions do not respect this requirement. By protesting that neither are they quantized the problem can be sidestepped, although some ingenuity may ...

For general non-linear n-dimensional homogeneous systems of meromorphic ODE, we show existence of a complete formal solution, formally depending upon n free parameters. We investigate the structure of such formal solutions and, in particular, obtain a factorization, analogous to results of J.-P. Ramis and (independently) the author for linear systems.
