Acceleration of a trailing positron bunch in a plasma wakefield accelerator

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
High gradients of energy gain and high energy efficiency are necessary parameters for compact, cost-efficient and high-energy particle colliders. Plasma Wakefield Accelerators (PWFA) offer both, making them attractive candidates for next-generation ...

Emittance growth in linear induction accelerators

open access: yes, 2014
The Dual-Axis Radiographic Hydrotest (DARHT) facility uses bremsstrahlung radiation source spots produced by the focused electron beams from two linear induction accelerators (LIAs) to radiograph large hydrodynamic experiments driven by high explosives ...

High throughput data streaming of individual longitudinal electron bunch profiles in a storage ring with single-shot electro-optical sampling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The development of fast detection methods for comprehensive monitoring of electron bunches is a prerequisite to gain comprehensive control over the synchrontron emission in storage rings with their MHz repetition rate.

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Sub-per-mille bunch energy spread in a quasi-linear laser-wakefield accelerator via periodical de-chirpings

open access: yesCommunications Physics
Plasma-wakefield-based acceleration technology has enabled the generation of very bright particle bunches of ultrashort duration, micrometer size and low emittance.

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Beam-based identification of magnetic field errors in a synchrotron using deep Lie map networks

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams
We report on the recovery of both linear and nonlinear optics in a hadron synchrotron using the novel deep Lie map network (DLMN) approach. The DLMN enables the construction of a detailed accelerator model by integrating charged particle dynamics with ...

Berberine–cinnamic acid co‐crystal effect in ameliorating hyperlipidemia might be regulated through the PI3K/AKT/mTOR/SREBP‐1 signaling pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Berberine–cinnamic acid co‐crystal (BBR‐CA) inhibits the phosphorylation of the phosphatidylinositol 3‐kinase (PI3K)/AKT/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway, suppressing the transfer of pre‐sterol regulatory element‐binding proteins‐1 (SREBP‐1) from the endoplasmic reticulum to the nucleus. This results in a decrease in the expression level of

Efficient positron trapping and extraction with a center-hole SiC remoderator

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2022
Trapping technologies of positrons, the antimatter counterpart of electrons, are indispensable for various atomic, molecular, and optical experiments and for material analyses that use positron swarms.
