Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Broadband multifunctional polarization converter based on graphene and vanadium dioxide metasurfaces along with analytical methods

open access: yesScientific Reports
In this paper, a tunable broadband multifunctional polarization converter based on graphene and vanadium dioxide (VO2) is designed. When VO2 is in the metallic state, the structure has the functions of three-band linear to linear and two-band linear to ...

Frequency-Bin Entanglement with Tunable Phase

open access: yes, 2015
We describe a technique to produce narrow-band photon pairs with frequency-bin entanglement, whose relative phase can be tuned using linear polarization optics.

High-efficiency and wide-bandwidth linear polarization converter based on double U-shaped metasurface

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper, we propose a high-efficiency and wide-bandwidth linear polarization converter using double U-shaped metasurface. The design is based on the two dimensional artificial electromagnetic materials and micro-antenna array.

Advancing Electronic Application of Coordination Solids: Enhancing Electron Transport and Device Integration via Surface‐Mounted MOFs (SURMOFs)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly of coordination solids, enabled by the surface‐mounted metal‐organic framework (SURMOF) platform, is on the cusp of generating the organic counterpart of the epitaxy of inorganics. The programmable and sequential SURMOF protocol, optimized by machine learning (ML), is suited for accessing high‐quality thin films of ...

Interstellar circular polarization and the dielectric nature of dust grains [PDF]

open access: yes
The implications of the observed relationship between the wavelength dependence of interstellar circular and linear polarization were reexamined. Mie theory calculations for grains with various optical constants demonstrate that any population of grains ...

Understanding and Optimizing Li Substitution in P2‐Type Sodium Layered Oxides for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

Induced polarization at a paraelectric/superconducting interface

open access: yes, 2011
We examine the modified electronic states at the interface between superconducting and ferro(para)-electric heterostructures. We find that electric polarization $P$ and superconducting $\psi$ order parameters can be significantly modified due to coupling
