Circular polarization transmitarray element with linear polarization feed
2016 IEEE International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2016A dual-resonant quad-layer transmitarray element is proposed in this paper. The element can be used to construct a circularly polarized transmitarray which converts linearly polarized incident wave into circularly polarized outgoing wave. The element operates at 30GHz and is designed through the principle of multilayer frequency selective approach [1].

Doppler-free polarization spectroscopy using linear polarized light
Applied Physics, 1978Lines of theQ-branch of vibrational rotational spectra are distinguished fromP(R)-lines by light induced anisotropy in absorbing gases. We report, for the first time, on experiments using a linearly polarized saturation beam. A CO2-laser was employed to investigate the molecule SF6.

Linear Series-Fed Patch Array with Dual Circular Polarization or Arbitrary Linear Polarization
2019 International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA), 2019A linear series-fed dual-port patch array working at 10 GHz with dual circular polarization or arbitrary linear polarization is proposed. This array consists of five circular patch elements which are serially excited by a traveling wave guided in a microstrip line.

High-efficiency, linear-polarization-multiplexing metalens for long-wavelength infrared light.
Optics Letters, 2018Variable-focus lenses are essential elements of optical systems with extensive applications in microscopy, photography, and optical detection. However, conventional varifocal optical systems obtain a limited tunable capability at the expense of bulk size

Linear Fresnel lens with polar tracking
Applied Optics, 1981The performance of coma and color corrected linear Fresnel lenses for solar concentration is evaluated for use in polar tracking systems. Effective concentrations of up to 90 at 75% efficiency were obtained.

Holographic-Inspired Multibeam Reflectarray With Linear Polarization
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2018In this paper, a novel systematic method based on the holographic theory to design a reflectarray (RA) antenna is presented. According to the holographic technique, one can record features of electromagnetic waves impinging on a specific surface and then,

A Wideband Multifunctional Multilayer Switchable Linear Polarization Metasurface
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2018In this letter, a wideband multifunctional and switchable linear polarizer has been presented based on an active metasurface for the X-band. The proposed structure consists of three metallic layers and two dielectric spacers.

Gamma-gamma linear polarization measurements
Nuclear Instruments and Methods, 1968Abstract The factors entering into the design of linear polarization correlation experiments and the analysis of the experimental data are discussed, particular attention being paid to the effects of finite angular resolution. A two-NaI-crystal summing polarimeter based on Compton scattering was used for the linear polarization measurements and was ...
