A Combined Model‐Based Meta‐Analysis of Aggregated and Individual FEV1 Data From Randomized COPD Trials

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Model‐based meta‐analysis allows integration of aggregated‐level data (AD) from different clinical trials in one model to assess population efficacy/safety. However, AD is limited in individual‐level information, while individual‐patient‐level data (IPD) are hard to obtain. Combined modeling may take advantage of both sources.

The Immunogenicity of Human Senescent Cells Is Dependent on the Senescence Inducer and Cell Type

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 2, February 2026.
Using multiple cell types and autologous immune cells, the authors present the first comprehensive evaluation of the immunogenicity of human senescent cells. Their findings demonstrate that, despite exhibiting a unique immunopeptidome, senescent fibroblasts are not recognized by immune cells.

Analysis of Template-Based Detection Algorithms for Inshore Bryde’s Whale Short Pulse Calls

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Marine mammals use sound for communication and echolocation within their ecosystems. The detection of these sounds is an important aspect of signal processing, such that we can estimate the spatial position and direction of arrival of these mammals, and ...

Evaluation of Skinfolds Based Predictive Equations for Estimating Body Fat Percentage in Older Adults: A Comparison Using Digital Adipometer (Lipowise) and Dual‐Energy X‐Ray Absorptiometry (DXA)

open access: yesClinical Obesity, Volume 16, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Accurate assessment of body fat percentage (%BF) is essential for predicting health risks in older adults, as age‐related changes affect fat distribution and measurement accuracy. While dual‐energy x‐ray absorptiometry (DXA) is a standard reference, it is costly and less accessible.

Remaining Useful Life Prediction in an Aerospace Engine: A Multivariable Fuzzy Time Series Classification Approach

open access: yesExpert Systems, Volume 43, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Failures in safety‐critical systems such as aircraft engines pose severe economic and societal risks. This study introduces a novel Remaining Useful Life (RUL) prediction method uniquely combining diverse techniques. Specifically, the proposed methodology integrates fuzzy time series analysis with sliding window segmentation and Multinomial ...
