An Integer Linear Programming approach to the single and bi-objective Next Release Problem [PDF]
Context The Next Release Problem involves determining the set of requirements to implement in the next release of a software project. When the problem was first formulated in 2001, Integer Linear Programming, an exact method, was found to be impractical

On partial calmness for bilevel programming problem with a linear lower-level problem
Numerous publications are devoted to bilevel programming problems. Despite a seemingly simple statement these problems are considerably difficult for numerical solving, and a significant part of research in the field of bilevel programming is devoted to ...

A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

Probability of Unique Integer Solution to a System of Linear Equations
We consider a system of m linear equations in n variables Ax = d and give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a unique solution to the system that is integer: x ? {?1,1}n.

We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

Locally Ideal Formulations for Piecewise Linear Functions with Indicator Variables
In this paper, we consider mixed integer linear programming (MIP) formulations for piecewise linear functions (PLFs) that are evaluated when an indicator variable is turned on.
