Analysis and modeling for the linear hybrid switched reluctance machine

open access: yes2015 IEEE Magnetics Conference (INTERMAG), 2015
To enhance the force-to-volume ratio and alleviate force ripples for the linear machines based on switched reluctance principle, a linear hybrid switched reluctance motor (LHSRM) which has doubly salient poles of the mover only embedded with a permanent magnet (PM) is proposed and the three modes of the force output of the proposed machine is analyzed.

Design of a linear switched reluctance machine

IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2000
A standard design procedure for a single-sided and longitudinal flux-based linear switched reluctance machine is developed in this paper. The proposed design procedure utilizes the rotating switched reluctance machine design by converting the specifications of the linear machine into the equivalent rotary machine.

Position control for the linear compound switched reluctance machine

2016 International Symposium on Electrical Engineering (ISEE), 2016
This paper investigates a long-stroke linear switched reluctance machine (LSRM) with a primary and a secondary translator for industrial conveyance applications. The secondary one can translate according the primary one so that linear compound motions can be achieved.

A non linear analytical model of switched reluctance machines

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal Applied Physics, 2002
Nowadays, the switched reluctance machine are widely used. To determine their performances and to elaborate control strategy, we generally use the linear analytical model. Unhappily, this last is not very accurate. To yield accurate modelling results, we use then numerical models based on either 2D or 3D Finite Element Method. However, this approach is

Fuzzy PID control for the linear switched reluctance machine

open access: yes2013 5th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications(PESA), 2013
This paper investigates the fuzzy control method for the linear switched reluctance motor (LSRM) drive system. Modeling of the LSRM is constructed based on the finite element method (FEM) environment Maxwell and the control system is analyzed by the co-simulation environment with Simplorer.

A novel high force density linear Segemented switched reluctance machine

2008 34th Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics, 2008
Linear switched reluctance machine (LSRM) has low force density, high acoustic noise and low energy conversion ratio. In this paper a novel linear segmented switched reluctance machine (LSSRM) having high force density and energy conversion ratio is proposed. This machine has segmented rotor and full pitch winding on the stator.

Position Control of Linear Switched Reluctance Machine using Flower Pollination Algorithm

open access: yes2018 International Conference on Intelligent Systems (IS), 2018
This paper presents a control mechanism for position control of linear switched reluctance machine (LSRM) using flower pollination algorithm (FPA). The control mechanism consists of the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) position controller.

Distributed Coordinated Motion Tracking of the Linear Switched Reluctance Machine-Based Group Control System

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2016
The coordinated tracking control for the group motion control system based on three direct-drive double-sided linear switched reluctance motors (LSRMs) is investigated in this paper. The system construction for the proposed coordinated tracking system is elaborated, including the unit system and group system design, communication configuration among ...

High-force density linear switched reluctance machine

IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1995
Unlike its rotary counterpart, the linear switched reluctance machine (LSRM) lends itself to double-sided excitation and multiple translator (or "rotor") configurations that can yield high-force density designs suitable for controlled linear motion in hostile environments.
