Magnetic‐Field Modulation of Charge Transport in Non‐Fullerene Semiconductors for Enhanced Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study demonstrates that weak magnetic fields (16–40 mT) increase the efficiency of the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in electrocatalysts based on non‐fullerene acceptor (NFA) derivatives IT‐4Cl and Y6. Electrochemical measurements reveal that the application of the magnetic field reduces the onset potential and increases the current ...

Self-Injection Locking of a Distributed Feedback Laser Diode Using a High-Finesse Fabry-Perot Microcavity

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Optical microcavities have been widely used in nonlinear optics, quantum optics, and laser technologies. Here we demonstrate the self-injection locking of a distributed feedback diode laser using home-made high-finesse Fabry-Perot microcavity.

Coupling of Er3+ ions and Plasmonic Modes in Vertical Nanocavities for Spectral Broadening in Telecom Bands

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Left: Illustration of the glass & nanostructures system and the NIR emission at 1.5 µm, where the colored spheres represent the Er3+ ions within the doped glass. Right: Representation of the Stark splitting of the 4I13/2 and 4I15/2 manifolds of the Er3+, illustrating how the plasmonic modes facilitate the emission from the broader Stark manifold ...

MEASUREMENT OF SPIN WAVE LINEWIDTH

open access: yesActa Physica Sinica, 1981
In this paper, we describe the instrumentation and technique which are suitable for measuring first-Order instability threshold values of microwave field for both configurations of perpendicular and parallel pumping in magnetic order materials. The spin wave linewidth is derived from instability threshold values for parallel pumping.

Turning Water Into a Tool: From Degradation Pathways to Functional Engineering in Halide Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Water exhibits a threshold‐dependent dual role in lead halide perovskites, acting either as a degradation trigger or as a powerful tool for defect passivation, recrystallization, and structural engineering. This review discusses how controlled water‐mediated interactions govern stability, dimensionality, and optoelectronic performance, providing ...

Optical probing of phononic properties of a tin-vacancy color center in diamond

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
The coherence characteristics of a tin-vacancy (SnV) color center in diamond are investigated through optical means, including linewidth broadening effects and coherent population trapping (CPT) between the ground-state orbital levels.

Magnons at low excitations: Observation of incoherent coupling to a bath of two-level systems

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2019
Collective magnetic excitation modes, magnons, can be coherently coupled to microwave photons in the single excitation limit. This allows for access to quantum properties of magnons and opens up a range of applications in quantum information processing ...

Waveguide Geometry–Driven Trade‐Offs in Resonant Cavity Sensor Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Waveguide geometry governs the interplay between sensitivity, intrinsic Q‐factor, and wavelength noise in silicon nitride resonant sensors. Contrary to intuition, higher sensitivity does not ensure superior performance. Low‐noise, high‐Q ridge resonators achieve the lowest detection limits, revealing that detection is ultimately constrained by noise ...
