Perivascular Space Burden in Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder Correlates With Neurodevelopmental Severity

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Volume 62, Issue 5, Page 1496-1506, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Cerebral perivascular spaces (PVS) are involved in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) circulation and clearance of metabolic waste in adult humans. A high number of PVS has been reported in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) but its relationship with CSF and disease severity is unclear.

Infusion of Induced Regulatory T Cells Alleviates Atherosclerosis by Reducing Pathological Macrophage‐Like Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 11, November 2025.
Macrophage‐like phenotype switched VSMCs increase the trans‐differentiation of nature regulatory T cells (nTregs) to pathogenic Th17 cells. Induced regulatory T cells (iTregs) are stable and can inhibit the macrophage‐like phenotypic switching of VSMCs, as well as reduce pathological VSMC migration and survival.

Perinatal outcomes and maternal health before and after single motherhood through assisted conception: A multiregistry study in Sweden

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 104, Issue 11, Page 2078-2092, November 2025.
Single mothers through assisted conception in Sweden face higher psychiatric risks before and after childbirth compared to partnered women through autologous IVF. Despite comparable perinatal outcomes, our findings highlight the need for comprehensive preconception medical screening and postpartum psychosocial support for these mothers.

Effect of anticholinergic eye drops on intraorbital, periorbital and brain pulsation power

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, Volume 103, Issue 7, Page e511-e523, November 2025.
Abstract Purpose The study aims to investigate the effect of pharmacologically reducing parasympathetic activity on ocular and cerebral pulsations, inspired by recent discoveries of a glymphatic‐like system in the eye driven by physiological pulsations.
