Anatomic Variation in Lingual Foramen: A Cone beam Computed Tomography Study
ABSTRACT Background Lingual foramen is usually located in the midline, leveled with or superior to the genial tubercles. The success of implant placements is dependent on the radiological examination, which helps the clinician to determine the parameters of implant placement by revealing the structures like the course of the nerves, location of ...

Cone Beam Computed Tomography Evaluation of Median Mandibular Lingual Canal in a Western Indian Subpopulation: A Cross-sectional Study [PDF]
Introduction: The Mandibular Lingual Canals (MLC), which carry the sublingual artery, are present in the mandible near the genial tubercle. Identification of these canals is important before any dental surgical procedures.

ABSTRACT This ex vivo study characterised the mesial root morphology of mandibular first molars with a middle mesial canal (MMC) using micro‐CT. Among 469 scanned molars, 42 (8.96%) presented an MMC. Morphological parameters analysed included canal configuration, chamber orifice features, dentine thickness, isthmus type, and aspect ratio.

Is Cone‐Beam CT Reliable for Apical Foramen Assessment? A Micro‐CT–Referenced Study
ABSTRACT This study evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of two cone‐beam CT (CBCT) dose protocols for identifying the number and trajectory deviation of apical foramina. Forty lower molars were scanned in Micro‐CT. Thereafter, all teeth were inserted into the mandible sockets and a titanium implant and an endodontically treated tooth with a cobalt ...

Morphometric and Paleobiological Insights Into Pleistocene Sicilian Wolf Populations
ABSTRACT The Pleistocene wolves (Canis lupus) from Sicily represent one of the few known insular populations of this species from that time period. Despite their potential relevance for understanding carnivore adaptations in insular contexts, no dedicated study has previously investigated their morphology and evolutionary significance.
