In the early 1970s, at the request of Mr Falc’hun, I agreed to take charge of the creation of a New linguistic atlas of Lower Brittany (NALBB). At the time, I was far from imagining the heaviness of the task, which required a full-time job. Apart from the time spent in the field, the most tedious part is the phonetic transcription of the results.
