Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 2004The authors study the manner in which some formal logical theory, named the theory of evaluating expressions, can be used to model the meaning of some class of natural-language expressions. The modeling of the meaning of fuzzy IF-THEN rules (linguistic descriptions) is presented and a basic schema of fuzzy logic deduction is discussed.
