Application of ECC for bridge deck link slabs
Materials and Structures, 2009In this article, the application of ECC in a bridge deck link slab is described. The unique ultra high tensile ductility and tight crack width of self-consolidating ECC is exploited in this application to improve bridge deck constructability, durability, and sustainability. Design guidelines and material specifications were developed for implementation

Experimental Study on Tension Mechanisms of UHPC Link Slab
IABSE Congress Reports, 2022
The ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) link slab has been proposed to provide a suitable solution to the cracking problem of conventional reinforced concrete (RC) link slab. This paper presents an experimental study on the tension mechanisms of UHPC link slab under monotonic tension loads.

Jointless Bridge Deck with Link Slabs
Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2009Link slabs are used over the piers developing jointless decks while adjacent bridge spans remain simply supported. The Michigan Department of Transportation incorporates link slabs during deck replacements and deep resurfacing. Field performance assessment documented full-depth cracking of most of the link slabs.

Property Analysis of Link Slab in Steel-Concrete Composite Bridge
IABSE Reports, 2022
Simply supported bridge has been widely used because of its low cost and clear mechanical behavior. However, there are many expansion joints, which reduce the integrity of the bridge deck and affect the driving comfort. Besides, the expansion joint is easy to be damaged due to the vehicle dynamic load.

FLAT SLABS WITH FIBRE OR LINK REINFORCEMENT AT SLAB-COLUMN CONNECTIONS.
Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Structures and Buildings, 1995The punching shear strength at the slab-column connections is usually critical for controlling the depth of the slab if drops, bent-up bars or links are to be avoided. The use of three different types of randomly distributed fibre reinforcement as an alternative to links has been investigated and all three types of fibre have been shown to offer a ...

Experimental Design of Link Slab in Steel-Concrete Composite Bridge
IABSE Reports, 2022
The traditional simple-supported structure with continuous deck have the advantages of simple structure, clear stress, being suitable for prefabrication and assembly, and rapid construction. However, a large number of continuous bridge deck structures appear in practiacl bridge engineering.

Experimental Study on New Developed Slab Link Method
IABSE Reports, 2015
Slab link method has the some problems in the construction field. Solution of the problem was needed in order to perform many constructions. Then, two new structures were developed to raise construction performance. type imitation models were made and capacity and fatigue tests were carried out. s a result, the model of all the types brought a

Enumeration of 1-slab lattice links
Topology and its Applications, 2019This paper studies the number of lattice links confined in \(1\)-slab, that is an \(m\times n \times 2\) cubic lattice. It provides generating functions for this class of lattice links with respect to the total length and the stick number of a lattice link as well as asymptotic analysis for the number of such lattice links.
