The Power of SOFIA/FORCAST in Estimating Internal Luminosities of Low Mass Class 0/I Protostars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
With the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) routinely operating science flights, we demonstrate that observations with the Faint Object infraRed CAmera for the SOFIA Telescope (FORCAST) can provide reliable estimates of the internal

Excited Neutrino Search Potential of the FCC-Based Electron-Hadron Colliders

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2017
The production potential of the excited neutrinos at the FCC-based electron-hadron colliders, namely, the ERL60⊗FCC with s=3.46 TeV, the ILC⊗FCC with s=10 TeV, and the PWFA-LC⊗FCC with s=31.6 TeV, has been analyzed.

Distinguishing New Physics Scenarios at a Linear Collider with Polarized Beams

open access: yes, 2005
Numerous non-standard dynamics are described by contact-like effective interactions that can manifest themselves through deviations of the cross sections from the Standard Model predictions. If one such deviation were observed, one should try to identify

Loops, Surfaces and Grassmann Representation in Two- and Three-Dimensional Ising Models [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Starting from the known representation of the partition function of the 2- and 3-D Ising models as an integral over Grassmann variables, we perform a hopping expansion of the corresponding Pfaffian.

Mechanistic Insights Into Cellulose Dissolution in Solvents for Advanced Industrial Applications: A Systematic and Bibliometric Review

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cellulose dissolution is important for various industries, including textiles, bioplastics, foods and pharmaceuticals, yet achieving efficient dissolution remains challenging. Deep eutectic solvents (DES) have emerged as promising alternatives to traditional solvents due to their low toxicity, biodegradability and sustainability.

On the Extension Behavior of Helicogenic Polypeptides [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
The force laws governing the extension behavior of homopolypeptides are obtained from a phenomenological free energy capable of describing the helix-coil transition. Just above the melting temperature of the free chains, T*, the plot of force, f, vs. end-

Systematic Study of PDMS Optical Waveguides for Pressure Sensing Using Design of Experiments

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
A response surface methodology was used to systematically evaluate the impact of mix ratio and cure conditions on PDMS optical waveguide properties for pressure sensing. Mix ratio significantly influenced compression sensitivity, compressive modulus, and propagation loss, while cure temperature primarily affected refractive index.
