Ultrafast Catalytic Decomposition Reaction Using a ZIF‐67@Celluolose Nanofiber Composite‐Based Cobalt/ Nitrogen Co‐Doped Nanoporous Carbon for Water Treatment

open access: yesRare Metals, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Recently, cobalt/nitrogen co‐doped materials have emerged as heterogeneous catalysts to activate peroxymonosulfate (PMS) and have been applied to advanced oxidation processes for environmental remediation. However, their recyclability and reusability remain major barriers to practical application.

Arkansas Cotton Variety Test 1999 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The primary aim of the Arkansas Cotton Variety Test is to provide unbiased data regarding the agronomic performance of cotton varieties in the major cotton growing areas in Arkansas.

Influence of Viscous Dissipation on Wear Behavior and Hardness Evolution of Tool Steels in Glass‐Fiber‐Reinforced Polymer Processing

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
Tool steels tested under injection molding conditions with glass‐fiber‐reinforced polymers, revealing how viscous dissipation drives hardness loss, even in PM grades. A sharp rise in wear with increasing injection volume rate and thermomechanical load uncovers striking material differences.

Composite gauge-bosons made of fermions

open access: yes, 2016
We construct a class of Abelian and non-Abelian local gauge theories that consist only of matter fields of fermions. The Lagrangian is compact and local without containing an auxiliary vector field nor a subsidiary condition on the matter fields. Because

Why Death Is Most in One's Self‐Interest, and Necessarily So

open access: yesBioethics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Most of us think that death is usually not in the self‐interest of the one who dies. Let us momentarily put this belief aside and examine death in a new light. This paper presents a two‐step argument to show why death is most in one's self‐interest, necessarily.

Heavy Flavour decay muon production at forward rapidity in pp collisions at \sqrt{s}= 7 TeV and in Pb-Pb collisions at \sqrt{s_{NN}}=2.76 TeV with the ALICE experiment

open access: yes, 2012
The production of muons from heavy flavour decays is measured at forward rapidity (2.5 < y < 4) with the muon spectrometer of the ALICE experiment at the LHC.

Transcriptional Regulation of SWEET15_A01 by MYB44/bHLH3 Modulates Carbon Allocation in Cotton Ovule and Fibre to Affect Seed and Fibre Traits

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The allocation of carbon sources between cotton ovule and fibre significantly influences the yield and quality of seed and fibre. SWEET15 (Sugars Will Eventually be Exported Transporter 15) plays a key role in sucrose transport; however, the transcriptional regulation of SWEET15 in cotton remains unclear.

A novel nondestructive detection approach for seed cotton lint percentage using deep learning

open access: yesJournal of Cotton Research
Background The lint percentage of seed cotton is one of the most important parameters for evaluating seed cotton quality and affects its price. The traditional measuring method of lint percentage is labor-intensive and time-consuming; thus, an efficient ...

Transmembrane Protein GbTMEM209 Inhibits Fibre Elongation via Competitive Interaction With GbHOX3 in Gossypium barbadense

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sea Island cotton (Gossypium barbadense) produces premium‐quality fibres, yet the genetic basis underlying its fibre development remains elusive. Here, we identify two key non‐synonymous single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs, G/C and G/A) in the gene Gbar_D13G024080, which encodes the TRANSMEMBRANE PROTEIN 209 (TMEM209). These SNPs resulted in

Increasing Demand For Quality In World Cotton Markets: How Has Zambia Performed? [PDF]

open access: yes
1. Changes in spinning technology have increased the premium on high quality lint in the world market and increased the discount for lint contaminated with non-vegetative matter 2.
