Detection of focal cortical dysplasia: Development and multicentric evaluation of artificial intelligence models

Activating AMPK improves pathological phenotypes due to mtDNA depletion

The FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
In a cellular model of mitochondrial disease characterized by progressive mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) depletion, we found that advancing mitochondrial dysfunction triggers the early and specific activation of the mitochondria‐associated pool of AMP‐activated protein kinase (AMPK), a master regulator of energy homeostasis.

An Areal Approach to Spatial Accessibility Analysis

Place‐based spatial accessibility quantifies the distribution of access to goods and services across space. The Two‐Step Floating Catchment Area (2SFCA) family of methods have become a default tool for spatial accessibility analysis in part due to their intuitive approach and interpretability.
