Unveiling atom‐photon quasi‐bound states in hybrid plasmonic‐photonic cavity

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 11, Issue 14, Page 3307-3317, July 2022., 2022
Abstract Dissipation, often associated with plasmons, leads to decoherence and is generally considered fatal for quantum nonlinearities and entanglement. Counterintuitively, by introducing a dissipative plasmonic nanoantenna into a typical cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) system, we unveil the wide existence of the atom‐photon quasi‐bound state ...

Genetic algorithm‐based optimization of pulse sequences

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 87, Issue 5, Page 2130-2144, May 2022., 2022
Purpose The performance of pulse sequences in vivo can be limited by fast relaxation rates, magnetic field inhomogeneity, and nonuniform spin excitation. We describe here a method for pulse sequence optimization that uses a stochastic numerical solver that in principle is capable of finding a global optimum.

Finding Liouvillian first integrals of rational ODEs of any order in finite terms [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv.org, 2005
It is known, due to Mordukhai-Boltovski, Ritt, Prelle, Singer, Christopher and others, that if a given rational ODE has a Liouvillian first integral then the corresponding integrating factor of the ODE must be of a very special form of a product of ...

Halo Properties in Helium Nuclei from the Perspective of Geometrical Thermodynamics

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 534, Issue 2, February 2022., 2022
8He nucleus is modelled in quantitative geometrical thermodynamics (QGT) as two summed unitary entities: the alpha particle core and the 4‐neutron halo. The halo is in turn a holomorphic pair of 2‐neutron halos, each of which is also a holomorphic pair. With a scale length given by the proton, QGT gives the 8He matter radius as 2.510 fm.

Determining Liouvillian first integrals for dynamical systems in the plane [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Physics Communications, 2007
Here we present/implement an algorithm to find Liouvillian first integrals of dynamical systems in the plane. In \cite{JCAM}, we have introduced the basis for the present implementation. The particular form of such systems allows reducing it to a single rational first order ordinary differential equation (rational first order ODE).

Quantum exceptional chamber induced by large nondipole effect of a quantum dot coupled to a nano‐plasmonic resonator

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 10, Issue 9, Page 2431-2440, July 2021., 2021
Abstract Exceptional points (EPs) are the singularities of a non‐Hermitian system where the eigenenergies and eigenstates simultaneously coalesce, a topological property that gives rise to a plethora of exotic phenomena. Probing the EPs and associated effects requires the system to go through the EPs.

Bath‐Induced Collective Phenomena on Superconducting Qubits: Synchronization, Subradiance, and Entanglement Generation

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 533, Issue 5, May 2021., 2021
A common environment acting on a pair of qubits gives rise to a plethora of different phenomena, such as the generation of qubit–qubit entanglement, quantum synchronization, and subradiance. Time‐independent figures of merit for entanglement generation, quantum synchronization, and subradiance, are defined, and an extensive analytical and numerical ...

A Numerical Procedure to Evaluate Memory Effects in Non‐Equilibrium Coarse‐Grained Models

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, Volume 4, Issue 4, April 2021., 2021
A numerical method is presented to analyze reaction coordinates from simulation data in terms of memory effects. The method allows to efficiently construct non‐stationary memory kernels. It is tested with the example of NaCl dissociation in water. Abstract When developing coarse‐grained models of complex processes out of equilibrium, one encounters the

What Are the Relative Intensities of the Components of NMR Spectral Multiplets from Quadrupolar Nuclei in Uniformly Anisotropic Media?

open access: yesConcepts in Magnetic Resonance Part A, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
Stretched hydrogels make uniformly anisotropic environments for quadrupolar nuclei such as 2H, 23Na, and 133Cs. Such surroundings cause the partial alignment of nuclear spin bearing ions and molecules that is sufficiently pronounced to alter the nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of the guest species.

On the existence of Levi Foliations

open access: yesAnais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências, 2001
Let L be a real 3 dimensional analytic variety. For each regular point p L there exists a unique complex line l p on the space tangent to L at p. When the field of complex line p l p is completely integrable, we say that L is Levi variety.
