The Musculoskeletal Consequences of Mouth Breathing in Adults: A Systematic Review
Chronic mouth breathing can have a negative impact on posture, cause temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD), reduced masticatory muscle activity and efficiency, and suprahyoid muscle overuse. Postural changes include a head forward posture and increased lumbar lordosis.

Dynamic and Objective Quantification of Facial Nerve Palsy Using Smartphone‐Based 3D Facial Geometry
This prospective study evaluated smartphone‐captured high‐resolution 3D facial geometry in 99 patients with unilateral facial nerve palsy across 207 visits and 12 healthy volunteers. Dynamic motion features combined with machine learning accurately estimated signed continuous House–Brackmann severity and identified clinically significant palsy ...

Machine Learning‐Based Risk Stratification Tool for Hearing Loss in High‐Risk Neonates
Machine learning models, particularly XGBoost, provide robust risk stratification for neonatal hearing loss by capturing complex interactions among clinical risk factors such as NICU stay duration and family history. To translate these predictive capabilities into routine practice, an open‐access web‐based clinical decision support tool was developed ...

Reference Equations for Peak Nasal Inspiratory and Expiratory Flow: A Cross‐Sectional Study
This study developed reference equations for peak nasal inspiratory flow (PNIF) and peak nasal expiratory flow (PNEF) in clinically healthy adults using sex, height, and weight. PNIF demonstrated lower residual variability and more stable model performance than PNEF, supporting its potential as a complementary tool for individualized interpretation of ...

Nasolabial Flap in Oncologic Oral Cavity Reconstruction: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis
The nasolabial flap provides a reliable local reconstructive option for selected small‐ to oncologic oral cavity defects, with low flap‐related complications and minimal donor‐site morbidity. Outcomes should nevertheless be interpreted according to defect characteristics, flap design, and the predominantly retrospective nature of the available evidence.
