Integrating Plant Volatile Scents in Sustainable IPM Approaches for Fall Armyworm Control
ABSTRACT Since the invasion of the fall armyworm (FAW), Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) into new regions, studies have oriented toward low‐cost management tools and methods. This study assessed the effects of volatile scents that are naturally emitted by essential oil (EO) plants on the severity of FAW and populations of its natural ...

Genetic relationships and polyploid origins in the Lippia alba complex.
PREMISE Plant genomes vary in size and complexity due in part to polyploidization. Latitudinal analyses of polyploidy are biased toward floras of temperate regions, with much less research done in the tropics. Lippia alba has been described as a tropical

Present and future potential of plant-derived products to control arthropods of veterinary and medical significance [PDF]
The use of synthetic pesticides and repellents to target pests of veterinary and medical significance is becoming increasingly problematic. One alternative approach employs the bioactive attributes of plant-derived products (PDPs). These are particularly

p‐Cymene exhibited a strong affinity for key hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) targets and induced dose‐dependent cytotoxicity in HepG2 cells while enhancing antioxidant defense mechanisms. The treatment significantly modulated apoptotic and angiogenic markers, notably increasing Caspase‐3 and p53, and suppressing BCL2 and VEGF expression.
