Effective concentration of herbal anaesthetics Origanum vulgare L. oil and its effects on stress parameters in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)

The best concentration of oregano oil as an anaesthetic agent was 60 mg L−1 for tilapia. It is compared with clove oil and its effect on stress of fish by plasma glucose and cortisol levels with different time point applications showed no significant differences.
