The Near-Ring of Lipschitz Functions on a Metric Space

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2010
This paper treats near-rings of zero-preserving Lipschitz functions on metric spaces that are also abelian groups, using pointwise addition of functions as addition and composition of functions as multiplication.

Multivalued Impulsive SDEs Driven by G-Brownian Noise: Periodic Averaging Result

open access: yesComplexity, 2022
This paper aims to study two approximation theorems in view of the periodic averaging results for non-Lipschitz multivalued stochastic differential equations with impulses and G-Brownian motion (MISDEGs).

Optimal dividends for a NatCat insurer in the presence of a climate tipping point

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract We study optimal dividend strategies for an insurance company facing natural catastrophe claims, anticipating the arrival of a climate tipping point after which the claim intensity and/or the claim size distribution of the underlying risks deteriorates irreversibly.

Common fixed points under Lipschitz type condition [PDF]

open access: yesKathmandu University Journal of Science, Engineering and Technology, 1970
The present paper is aimed at obtaining common fixed point theorems for a pair of selfmaps satisfying nonexpansive or Lipschitz type condition by using the notion of pointwise R- weak commutativity but without assuming the completeness of the space or continuity of the mappings involved. Mathematics Subject Classification: 54 H 25.

A goodness‐of‐fit test for regression models with discrete outcomes

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract Regression models are often used to analyze discrete outcomes, but classical goodness‐of‐fit tests such as those based on the deviance or Pearson's statistic can be misleading or have little power in this context. To address this issue, we propose a new test, inspired by the work of Czado et al.

On the uniqueness of solutions to quadratic BSDEs with non-convex generators and unbounded terminal conditions

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique, 2020
We prove a uniqueness result of the unbounded solution for a quadratic backward stochastic differential equation whose terminal condition is unbounded and whose generator $g$ may be non-Lipschitz continuous in the state variable $y$ and non-convex (non ...

Fourier Mass Lower Bounds for Batchelor‐Regime Passive Scalars

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Batchelor predicted that a passive scalar ψν$\psi ^\nu$ with diffusivity ν$\nu$, advected by a smooth fluid velocity, should typically have Fourier mass distributed as |ψ̂ν|2(k)≈|k|−d$|\widehat{\psi }^\nu |^2(k) \approx |k|^{-d}$ for |k|≪ν−1/2$|k| \ll \nu ^{-1/2}$.

Regularity of Generalized Mean-Field G-SDEs

open access: yesMathematics
We study the regularity properties of the unique solution of a generalized mean-field G-SDE. More precisely, we consider a generalized mean-field G-SDE with a square-integrable random initial condition, establish its first- and second-order Fréchet ...

Invertible Carnot Groups

open access: yesAnalysis and Geometry in Metric Spaces, 2014
We characterize Carnot groups admitting a 1-quasiconformal metric inversion as the Lie groups of Heisenberg type whose Lie algebras satisfy the J2-condition, thus characterizing a special case of inversion invariant bi-Lipschitz homogeneity.
