Steering Oxygen Activation Pathways via Redox Dual‐Defects in 2D Hydrated WO3 for High‐Yield Singlet Oxygen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Redox dual‐defects (Cs substitution and O vacancies) in 2D hydrated WO3 steer O2 activation toward selective singlet oxygen evolution. WO‐CO achieves 8.6–15.8 times higher 1O2 production than single‐defect or pristine catalysts, enabling efficient pollutant mineralization via a pathway‐selective photocatalytic mechanism.

The effect of AC magnetic fields on liquid-metal free surfaces in industrialMHD.

open access: yes, 2009
In this thesis we investigate free-surface instabilities which occur in various industrial processes involving liquid metal. Specifically, we examine a number of simple problems with a view to developing a plausible theoretical description based on MHD ...

Some information on calculating the liquid-liquid equilibrium of ternary systems. an improvement of prediction of liquid-liquid equilibrium in ternary systems from binary equilibrium data

open access: yes, 1982
A possibility is described of improving the prediction of ternary liquid-liquid equilibrium data from binary ones by using three-parameter equations for calculating activity coefficients.

Review of Thermally Activated Twisted Coiled Polymer Actuators: A Materials Science Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Thermally activated twisted and coiled polymer actuators (TCPAs) combine lightweight design, large deformation, and scalable fabrication for soft robotic and wearable applications. This review connects polymer structure, processing history, helix geometry, and thermomechanical characterization to actuator performance, highlighting current challenges in

Computations of the Liquid-Phase Penetration in Vaporizing Diesel Sprays Using a Two-Fluid Model: Equilibrium and Non-Equilibrium Effects

open access: yes, 2000
A two-fluid model is employed to model vaporizing non-combusting sprays under high injection pressure Diesel conditions. A locally homogeneous flow approximation is considered where the two phases have the same velocity at a given spatial ìocation and

Liquid Crystal Ordering in Densely Packed Colloidal Suspensions of Highly Anisotropic Monolayer Nanosheets

open access: yes
Monolayer nanosheets of zirconium phosphate in aqueous suspension exhibit short-range repulsion and long-range attraction, producing, at overall volume fractions larger than about half a percent, phase separation into higher-concentration liquid crystal ...

Measurement of Vapor Liquid Equilibrium for Difluoromethane (R32) +Fluoroethane (R161) + 2,3,3,3-Tetrafluoroprop-1-ene (R1234yf)

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2018
In the study, we focused on the vapor-liquid equilibrium property of the ternary system of R32+R161+R1234yf. The vapor–liquid equilibrium data was measured via a liquid-circulation apparatus at temperatures from 283.15 K to 323.15 K.

Shape Memory Microneedle to Prevent Risks of Reproductive Hormone Therapy by Switching Sustained to Burst Release Under a Single Transdermal Insertion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A shape‐memory microneedle system enables reproductive hormone therapy through a single transdermal insertion. The X‐shaped device sustains follicle‐stimulating hormone release for three days, and mild heating restores the O shape to trigger burst human chorionic gonadotropin release.
