A Bilayered Inorganic‐Metal Interface Enables Highly Reversible Aluminum Deposition for Long‐Life Aqueous Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A gradient M/MOx (M = Sn, Cu, Cd) synergistic interphase was constructed on Al via a one‐step displacement reaction. This interphase leverages high aluminophilicity and ion‐buffering capability to accelerate desolvation, enhance Al3+ transport, and suppress side reactions, enabling ultrastable symmetric cell operation at 0.05 mA cm−2 for 1800 h with an

Time Resolved Two Dimensional X-Ray Densitometry of a Two Phase Flow Downstream of a Ventilated Cavity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
To measure the void fraction distribution in gas-liquid flows, a two-dimensional x-ray densitometry system was developed. This system is capable of acquiring a two-dimensional projection with a 225 cm2 area of measurement through 21 cm of water.

Direct numerical simulations of hydrodynamics and mass transfer in dense bubbly flows [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Bubbly flows belong to dispersed two-phase flows involving a gas and a liquid phase, which are brought into contact with each other such that the gas forms bubbles which rise through the liquid.

Bioinspired Mechanically Robust Organic–Inorganic Hybridized Bio‐Adhesives With up to 50% Inorganic Components by Bi‐Continuous Phase Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A robust plant protein adhesive was prepared by fabricating a bi‐continuous organic–inorganic hybrid structure. Compared with traditional organic–inorganic hybrid adhesives, the addition amount of inorganic phase is increased from 0.2%–3.0% to 50%, and the strength and toughness are increased by 6 and 121 times, respectively.

Transition Criterion of Bubbly-slug Flow Pattern in Rectangular Narrow Channel

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu, 2022
In the two-phase flow system, the flow pattern affects the frictional resistance and heat transfer characteristics of the system. Accurate identification of different flow patterns is of great significance to the calculation of twophase flow.
