Trends in hollow fibre liquid phase microextraction for the preconcentration of pharmaceutically active compounds in aqueous solution: A case for polymer inclusion membrane.

Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2022
Low concentrations of pharmaceutically active compounds have been reported in samples from highly complex aqueous environments. Due to their low concentrations, efficient sample pretreatment methods are needed to clean samples and concentrate the ...

Liquid-phase microextraction

TrAC Trends in Analytical Chemistry, 2010
Abstract The development of faster, simpler, inexpensive and more environmentally-friendly sample-preparation techniques is an important issue in chemical analysis. Recent research trends involve miniaturization of the traditional liquid-liquid-extraction principle by greatly reducing the acceptor-to-donor ratio.

Ferrofluid-based liquid-phase microextraction

Journal of Chromatography A, 2010
A new mode of liquid-phase microextraction based on a ferrofluid has been developed. The ferrofluid was composed of silica-coated magnetic particles and 1-octanol as the extractant solvent. The 1-octanol was firmly confined within the silica-coated particles, preventing it from being lost during extraction.

Liquid-phase microextraction – The different principles and configurations

Trends in Analytical Chemistry (TrAC), 2019
Liquid-phase microextraction is a miniaturized form of traditional liquid–liquid extraction in which the extracting organic phase is limited to a few microliters for extraction of target analytes.
