Liquid-Phase Microextraction

2017
Liquid-phase microextraction (LPME) has emerged over the last 15–20 years as one of the simplest and most easily implemented techniques of sample preparation in the determination of organic analytes in a variety of matrices. This article summarizes the historical developments and various modes of the technique, method development, recent trends, and ...

Dynamic headspace time-extended helix liquid-phase microextraction

Journal of Chromatography A, 2009
Liquid-phase microextraction (LPME) has been proved to be a fast, inexpensive and effective sample pre-treatment technique for the analyses of pesticides and many other compounds. In this investigation, a new headspace microextraction technique, dynamic headspace time-extended helix liquid-phase microextraction (DHS-TEH-LPME), is presented.

Reduction of extraction times in liquid-phase microextraction

Journal of Chromatography B: Biomedical Sciences and Applications, 2001
Recently, we introduced a simple and inexpensive disposable device for liquid-phase microextraction (LPME) based on porous polypropylene hollow fibres. In the present paper, extraction times were significantly reduced by an increase in the surface of the hollow fibres.

Dynamic hollow fiber-supported headspace liquid-phase microextraction

Journal of Chromatography A, 2005
With the increasing concern over deteriorating environmental quality, the analysis of organic pollutants in air, water, and soil has become critically important. The development of simple, efficient, and inexpensive analytical sample pretreatment is crucial for monitoring and evaluating the environment.

Kinetic Calibration for Automated Headspace Liquid-Phase Microextraction

Analytical Chemistry, 2005
The kinetics of the absorption and desorption of analytes for headspace liquid-phase microextraction (HS-LPME) were studied. It was found that the desorption of analytes from the extraction phase into the sample matrix is isotropic to the absorption of the analytes from the sample matrix into the extraction phase under the same conditions.

Emulsion-based liquid-phase microextraction: a review

Journal of the Iranian Chemical Society, 2013
In the past decade, liquid-phase microextraction (LPME), which can also be called solvent microextraction, has emerged as a minimal organic solvent-based sample preparation approach. The main advantages of this method include versatility, simplicity and effectiveness of its extraction procedures at reducing sample complexity, as well as the convenience
