Vortex State of Tl$_2$Ba$_2$CuO$_{6+\delta}$ via $^{205}$Tl NMR at 2 Tesla

open access: yes, 2005
We report a $^{205}$Tl NMR study of vortex state for an aligned polycrystalline sample of an overdoped high-$T_c$ superconductor Tl$_2$Ba$_2$CuO$_{6+\delta}$ ($T_{c}\sim$85 K) with magnetic field 2 T along the c axis.

Transparent UV‐Curable Self‐Sanitizing Coatings Applicable to Diverse Surfaces and High‐Touch Screens to Mitigate Deadly Pathogen Transmission

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Development of a transparent, self‐sanitizing antimicrobial coating technology applicable to a wide range of materials and surfaces‐including touchscreens, transparent substrates, and metal, plastic, and glass‐regardless of pathogen type. The spray‐coated, UV‐cross‐linked imidazole‐based quaternary ammonium chloride materials provide broad‐spectrum ...

An NMR Study on How Steric Effects Affect Synergistic Effects in Surfactant Mixtures

open access: yesChinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2018
NMR spectra of aqueous solutions of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB)/triton X-100 (TX-100), sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)/TX-100 and CTAB/TX-100/SDS surfactant mixtures were acquired.

Automatic first-order multiplet analysis in liquid-state NMR

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Chimie, 2005
The extraction of coupling constant values from NMR spectra is an important step in assigning the configuration of organic molecules. A method for the automatic multiplet analysis in weakly coupled spin systems is described here.

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Fidelity enhancement by logical qubit encoding

open access: yes, 2007
We demonstrate coherent control of two logical qubits encoded in a decoherence free subspace (DFS) of four dipolar-coupled protons in an NMR quantum information processor.

Injectable Dual‐Network Hydrogel System for Osteochondral Repair Combining Immunomodulation, Mechanical Adaptability, and Enhanced Tissue Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A UV‐triggered injectable dual‐network hydrogel is reported as the first application of bletilla striata polysaccharide (BSP) in osteochondral repair. By integrating methacrylamide‐modified BSP and nitrobenzaldehyde‐functionalized hyaluronic acid, the system achieves immunomodulation, mechanical reinforcement, and dynamic tissue adhesion, thereby ...

Luttinger-volume violating Fermi liquid in the pseudogap phase of the cuprate superconductors

open access: yes, 2012
Based on the NMR measurements on Bi$_2$Sr$_{2-x}$La$_x$CuO$_{6+\delta}$ (La-Bi2201) in strong magnetic fields, we identify the non-superconducting pseudogap phase in the cuprates as a Luttinger-volume violating Fermi liquid (LvvFL).

Dense Nanofibrillar Collagen–Silica Hybrids with High Strength and ECM‐Mimetic Tissue Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dense nanofibrillar collagen–silica hybrids are engineered by synchronizing collagen fibrillogenesis with silica condensation, producing printable scaffolds that unexpectedly approach native extracellular matrix organization and strength. These cell‐free constructs guide endogenous cell‐infiltration, enable localized matrix remodeling, and integrate ...
