Optical detection of liquid-state NMR
Nature, 2006Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) in liquids and solids is primarily detected by recording the net dipolar magnetic field outside the spin-polarized sample. But the recorded bulk magnetic field itself provides only limited spatial or structural information about the sample.

Quantitative 2D liquid‐state NMR
Magnetic Resonance in Chemistry, 2014Two‐dimensional (2D) liquid‐state NMR has a very high potential to simultaneously determine the absolute concentration of small molecules in complex mixtures, thanks to its capacity to separate overlapping resonances. However, it suffers from two main drawbacks that probably explain its relatively late development.

Generating spin turbulence through nonlinear excitation in liquid-state NMR
Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2009Chaotic dynamics of a water magnetization in a 600 MHz NMR spectrometer was generated by a radiation damping-based electronic feedback. Erratic induction signal was observed for several tens of seconds. The analysis of the data shows that this chaotic behaviour can be ascribed to spin turbulence in the sample and that a simpler model based on the three-

Cryogen-free 400 MHz (9.4 T) solid state MAS NMR system with liquid state NMR potential
Solid State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, 2023We show that the temporal magnetic field distortion generated by the Cold Head operation can be removed and high quality Solid-State Magic Angle Spinning NMR results can be obtained with a cryogen-free magnet. The compact design of the cryogen-free magnets allows for the probe to be inserted either from the bottom (as in most NMR systems) or, more ...

Liquid-State NMR of Fluoropolymers
1996The article is a noncomprehensive review of the literature summarizing solution NMR studies of fluoropolymers performed between the 1960 s and 2012. An attempt has been made to describe a representative range of fluoropolymers as well as the NMR methods available to study their structures.

SQUID-Detected Liquid State NMR in Microtesla Fields
The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2004Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments performed in magnetic fields on the order of microtesla yield line widths comparable to the lifetime limit even in grossly inhomogeneous magnets. The potential loss in sensitivity is overcome by combining prepolarization in fields on the order of millitesla and signal detection with a Superconducting Quantum

Liquid-State NMR and Scalar Couplings in Microtesla Magnetic Fields
Science, 2002We obtained nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra of liquids in fields of a few microtesla, using prepolarization in fields of a few millitesla and detection with a dc superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID). Because the sensitivity of the SQUID is frequency independent, we enhanced both signal-to-noise ratio and spectral resolution by ...

Review of advances in coupling electrochemistry and liquid state NMR
Talanta, 2015The coupling of electrochemistry and NMR spectroscopy (EC-NMR) may present an interesting approach in the environmental oxidative degradation or metabolism studies. This review presents experimental advances in the field of EC-NMR and highlights the main advantages and drawbacks of in situ and on line of NMR spectroelectrochemistry. The analysis of NMR

Lipid analysis of Neochloris oleoabundans by liquid state NMR
Biotechnology and Bioengineering, 2010AbstractThis study is an evaluation of liquid state NMR as a tool for analyzing the lipid composition of algal cultures used for biodiesel production. To demonstrate the viability of this approach, 13C NMR was used to analyze the lipid composition of intact cells of the algal species, Neochloris oleoabundans (UTEX #1185). Two cultures were used in this
