Chemical Engineering Science, 1968Abstract The values of effective liquid—liquid interfacial area in air-agitated liquid—liquid extraction columns were obtained by the method of liquid extraction accompanied by fast pseudo first-order reaction. Some values of physical mass transfer coefficients were also obtained.

Science, 1961An experimental technique has been developed for measuring the concentration and distribution of air entrained by turbulence in an agitated liquid. The air content was related to the viscosity, surface tension, and turbulence of the liquid by dimensional analysis.
